forward with an embryo transfer. This step must be done with extreme care and
caution. There are certain steps that the IVF expert completes for a successful
embryo transfer. It is additionally important that the families also follow all
of the instructions that their doctor says.

transfer takes place with the assistance of ultrasound. The process becomes

This also reduces the probability of any technical errors that might otherwise
have occurred.
What is Embryo Transfer?
Embryo transfer is
mainly the last step for the IVF procedure. In IVF the fertility medicines are
given for the stimulation of ovaries so that they can release healthy eggs. The
eggs are then removed from the ovaries and the fertilization is done in the
laboratory. After the eggs have multiplied the embryo is shifted to women's
uterus. For the pregnancy to be successful the embryo has to get attached to
the inner wall of the uterus.
Steps
involved with IVF:
Here are the steps that are followed for IVF:
1. The
woman that is taking IVF treatment is given medicines for helping the
development of healthy eggs in the ovary follicle.
2. After
follicles mature the eggs that have been developed in ovaries are taken out.
3. In the
laboratory, the eggs are fused with sperm in a petri-dish.
4. Then
after 24 hours, it is checked for fertilization.
5. The
embryos that seem of good quality are then transplanted in the uterus with the
assistance of ultrasound.
Please keep in mind that the process, in reality, is not
that simple as it's given in the above steps. You must take the help of the
best doctors so that any kind of mishaps can be avoided. After the implantation
of the embryo in the uterus, it is not immediately checked for pregnancy. There
is a waiting time of about two weeks. This duration does seem long for the
couples for sure and it is important to have a positive outlook and be calm and
relaxed throughout the time.
